Real Roots Café AmaZinG TeN 2011

Het blijft wikken en wegen bij het samenstellen van het tiental favoriete cd’s uit 2011, want wat kies je? De meest opvallende en/of originele- of juist de meest beluisterde albums?

De mannen (nog geen 3 % van de ingestuurde lijstjes is afkomstig van vrouwelijke rootsadapten) hebben het moeilijk gehad, denk ik. Want 2011 blijkt een rijk muziekjaar, op bijna 300 albums worden stemmen uitgebracht. Geen enkele punt wordt toegekend aan een album dat elders nogal bejubeld wordt, Adele – ‘21’, en daar valt heel goed mee te leven.

Helaas ook geen punten voor  de recente cd’s van Darrell Scott – ‘Long Ride Home’ en ‘A Tribute to Guy Clark - This One's For Him’.De oorzaak zal een
(te) late release in Nederland zijn, wellicht duiken ze volgend jaar op in de Amazing Ten?
